Salient Features
- The BIT program is of eight semesters (four academic years) with a separate semester exam after each semester.
- Working days: 90 days/semester.
- Class hours: theory+lab courses = 6 hrs/week, theory-only = 5 hrs/week.
- Internal/external evaluation split; project/internship evaluated by several evaluators.
- Grading: Distinction (>=80%), First (>=70%), Second (>=55%), Pass (>=40%).
- Attendance: 80% required.
- Final exams: conducted by IOST, TU.

Eligibility
- Passed Proficiency Certificate Level or Equivalent with English and Mathematics/Computer (100 marks each), at least second division.
- Passed grade 12 (any stream), must have studied English and Mathematics/Computer (100 marks), at least C grade, GPA >= 1.6, CGPA >= 1.8.
- Passed A level (English and Mathematics/Computer, 100 marks), D grade.
- Passed Three Years Diploma in second division from CTEVT (English and Mathematics/Computer, 100 each).
Curricular Structure
120 credits, evenly distributed over 8 semesters (4 years). Internship in final semester, 6 credits.

- Evaluation: Theory: 20% internal, 80% external. Theory+lab: 20% internal, 20% lab, 60% external. Project/internship by multiple evaluators.
- Grading: Distinction: 80%+, First: 70%+, Second: 55%+, Pass: 40%+ (8 semester average)
- Attendance: 80% in each course required.
- Final Exam: Conducted by Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University.
